How often can I rescan the same website ?

You can rescan a website by clicking the blue button "Update Report" that is present in the report page of every analyzed website, example You can rescan a website after 15 minutes from the last scan date, but please do not abuse this option or we will need to restrict its usage.

Do you have an API to query URLVoid database ?

Yes, we do have a private API (free at the moment) that can be used to query the database of already analyzed websites, but also to update the scan report or submit new websites for scanning. The API can be used only for personal use and cannot be used or integrated within commercial services or products.

Can we integrate URLVoid in commercial services ?

URLVoid is a free service that queries other third-party services and cannot be used\integrated in commercial services\products. If the service detects automated URL submissions made by robots\scripts, the service may automatically ban the IP address that is responsible for making too many requests within N seconds.

Can I use URLVoid's data for commercial purpose ?

You may temporarily store information gathered by URLVoid somewhere, but you cannot sell\resell\transfer for a value that data. The information shown by URLVoid may be copyright of URLVoid, of different DNSBL services and\or of other web services and you may not use that data commercially without prior contacting them directly.

What do you do with the URLs\domains submitted ?

When you submit an URL or a host on URLVoid's service you grant us the permission to do anything with the data you have submitted. As of now, we just store the data in a database but we may share it with third-party security companies, security researchers or sell the database of URLs\hosts, and so on.

Can you remove a falve positive detection ?

URLVoid is not responsible for false positive detections, this service is used to gather information about a website by querying external services that are not managed by URLVoid. All the false positive issues should be addressed directly with the company or individual that owns the scanning engine.

How do you rate a website using MyWOT (Web of Trust) ?

We check only the rating field related to the trustworthiness (user's comments are ignored), we want to avoid to detect a website related to a porn website as being dangerous. We are only interested about the trustworthiness of a website.

How can I include my scanning engine on URLVoid ?

You should contact us at info[at] and send us some details about your service. Please note that we require that your scanning engine is fast, it should take no more than 2 or 3 seconds to output information about a submitted website and it should allow URLVoid's service to make thousands of queries per day.

Do you have a complete list of scanning engines in use ?

Yes, you can view a list of all the external resources, DNS based blacklists and website reputation engines that are in use in URLVoid service at the about us web page. If you need more details please do not hesitate to contact us via email.

Can you remove information about my website ?

Well, why do you want us to remove information about your website ? What's wrong with URLVoid scan report ? Please note that if there is a problem with the scan report you can always contact us at anytime so we can work togheter to find a solution without the need to remove your website.

How can I report a malfunctioning of the service ?
